Air India will deploy its aircraft held up at London airport to operate one flight each from London to Delhi and Toronto on April 21, 2010 subject to clearances to fly stranded passengers, following the partial opening of the European air space subject to clearances. Direct flights from Amritsar to Britain and Canada

AI 187/AI 188 Delhi to London Heathrow and YYZ Toronto Toronto to London Heathrow and Amritsar Departure Delhi 0635 hrs / Arrival Toronto 1915 hrs ; Departure Toronto 2330 hrs / Arrival Delhi 0420 hrs on April 23, 2010.

The existing Amritsar-London-Toronto flight will now operate with a B777-300ER, four days a week out of Amritsar. On the remaining three days, the flight will originate from Delhi, thus giving Delhi passengers a direct connection to London-Toronto
Each First Class seat in B777-300ER is an individual cabin by itself, offering the premium traveller luxury, privacy and comfort. The seat is 23 inches wide with a pitch of 80 inches and converts into a 31 inches full flat bed. The seat offers lumbar support, a massage system, stowage compartments and adjustable reading light on the seat shell. The 19.5 inches wide Executive Class seat with a pitch of 76 inches, transforms into a 26.5 inches full flat bed. The Economy Class seats, too, are comfortable with 18 inches wide seats, with a pitch of 33 inches. The seats have a roller type therapeutic leg rest for added comfort.
